John Russell – president of CDMI INC – has been in the consumer electronics business for over 30 years. Starting out working for a hi-end stereo shop it became obvious to John that it was not enough just to offer good products to customers but that service was what would make a loyal client. After working for several companies around the Midwest, John decided to open his own Custom Installation business but that did not mean that Audio and Video quality was no longer important. Unlike many others who were starting Installation Businesses – the quality of the installation was the most important aspect of Johns projects. After all, when a system works you are meeting customer expectation, when it sounds and looks amazing you can exceed all expectation. After the sale of his company in 1999, John continued to work in the consumer electronics industry as a product development consultant and independent audio video calibrator. Many of the product used by the consumer electronics industry were developed with the contributions from John. In 2006, an opportunity to more closely with the dealers in the Midwest came when a position with a rep firm presented itself. After a short time, John purchased the company and the current form of CDMI was born.
